THE MAKING OF A LIFE WORTH LIVING

Update on the short film, "A Life Worth Living Documentary."

The production of this short film was put on hold for various reasons.  COVID, our travels to a new state, our travels to England, and saddening, my son Benjamin was stricken with Leukemia May 1st of 2022.  10 months after Benjamin's diagnosis, my 14 year old daughter was diagnosed with Epilepsy.  I now had 2 sick children to care for.  Circumstances have been difficult.  These were challenging times and currently are challenging times.  But with that said, the production of this film has been completed and it's time to submit "A Life Worth Living Documentary" to various Film Festivals.  And soon after that, the short film will be available to the public.

My goal is to offer Mothers hope and support.  I want them to know that they are not alone.  I want them to know that whatever the situation or circumstance that they're going through in life right now, there is hope.

And finally, I want to put children and Adults born with Down Syndrome in a positive light.  We all give something to this life.  We are all beautiful in different ways.

A LIFE WORTH LIVING

A film by Maria Segura

A Mother is given less than 2 weeks to decide whether to keep her baby, send the baby off for adoption or abort the baby.  Because of a prenatal lab mix up, she must decide quickly.

Now, Maria is on a mission to help other Mothers like her.  Maria's goal is to offer Mothers hope and support and to let them to know they are not alone.

A Life Worth Living Documentary will also follow the lives of other Mothers and their loved ones with Down Syndrome.  Not only will we see their story but we will journey into their lives, their goals, their challenges, their dreams and their achievements.
